My Story
With over 30 years of experience behind us, Chaps and Bags has become synonymous with high-quality leather apparel and accessories.
From almost day one I worked with the founders of the business to create beautiful unique leather goods. When the original founders of the business retired over 15 years ago, I purchased the thriving business. I’ve continued to uphold the same standards that have made us a favorite among motorcycle enthusiasts and anyone else who appreciates great style, quality, and durability. Our merchandise ranges from classic to trendy, and we take pride in providing a well-curated selection that appeals to people of all ages and preferences.
Over the past twenty years I have traveled throughout the United States sewing patches and selling our unique line of leather goods at motorcycle rallies and trade shows. At times there have been various crews at different shows, with as many as four locations at one time during Sturgis Bike Week. Then we downsized to a crew of two or three working about thirty shows throughout the year. The thirty shows became twenty, then about fifteen, then ten, then three. The crews scaled down to me and temporary assistants working the few remaining shows. It is time for me to bring the extensive travel to an end and just work my local Daytona Biketoberfest and Daytona Bike Week shows. I have really enjoyed the travel and all of the people I have met over the years, but making all of the product and then traveling to sell it leaves little time for much else.
All of our products will still be available for purchase. If you do not see something on the website that you have purchased in the past, just give me a call or drop me an e-mail and I will see what I can do to get one made for you. I will also have more shop time for my local customers. Not to mention more time to develop new products. Keep an eye on the website for new things to come!
